Making a donation

FOR THE PROJECT TO BECOME A REALITY, contributions are needed from all those who appreciate the benefits that a spiritual Centre based on the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh can bring to themselves and many other people. Invitations to make a donation to this collective project are made to all those who already know and benefit from Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings. A donation to the project is a way to show gratitude for the benefits that we have gained and to extend those benefits to others in the present and to the future generations. A donation wouldn’t be only a gesture of generosity but also a long-term investment and an intelligent use of money that will bring great benefits in the future.
Any occasion is an opportunity to make a donation: a wedding, birth, birthday, anniversary, Christmas… Why give presents that are not really necessary when we can instead involve our beloved ones in our deeply-held aspiration for a life in which peace, understanding and mutual care become really possible?
Funds will be collected by a Trust Fund called “Verso una comunità di vita consapevole” (Towards a mindful living community), with a current account at the Banca Etica. Donations can be made via bank transfer or postal order.

In both cases you are asked to send us your details (name, address and telephone number) via email or ordinary post (see below) so that we can add you to the list of donors.
Would you like to make a large donation but not want to pay it all at once?
Decide on a sum you can pay regularly (e.g., once a month or every two months) and make out a standing order. This will allow you make your donation automatically without any further involvement on your part – and you can stop the payments at any moment you choose.
We want you to know that the funds collected will be held by the Trust Fund until the sum required to purchase the property has been reached. As the Statute of the Trust Fund stipulates, if the necessary sum is not reached by 31 December 2006 (which can be extended for a further two years if the sum is reasonably close to the target by the end of 2006), all donations will be returned to their donors with a proportional detraction to cover the expenses incurred to set up and manage the Fund and promote the Project.
