AN IDEAL SETTING FOR THE CENTRE would be an area easily reachable from everywhere in Italy, so preferably in a central region, though no site is rejected without proper consideration (islands and Alpine valleys included).
What is essential is that the setting is quiet and surrounded by natural countryside, beauty and silence. It should be removed but not isolated from the main motorways and railway lines, and served by good quality roads, and water, electrical and telephone services.
In order to limit the costs and grant peace to the Centre, it would be better to avoid areas with high tourist traffic. Ideal situations would be hilly or low mountain zones, with extensive woodland or grassy areas, even better if close to smallholdings in reasonable condition.
